Why don’t people recommend olive oil pulling?
That’s mainly because of the viscosity of the oil being thicker than other oils meaning it’s harder and rather unpleasant to work around the mouth, it has a very brash taste and anecdotal evidence suggests it’s deeper colour could stain your teeth in no time, although this is said to be temporary.
So is using this bad for me?
It’s unlikely to cause any harm and there isn’t any evidence suggesting otherwise. Some people do pull with olive oil with great results but there’s an interesting selection out there which the majority find more appealing. See below for some examples.
